Origin and Identity
Ajwa grows only around the city of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and is known as "the Prophet's date" for its virtue in the sunnah. Medjool originated in Morocco and is now grown in warm climates including Palestine; it is dubbed the "king of dates".
